History
The UHealth Sleep Medicine Center at the UM medical campus was initially established in 1990 as a two-bed facility at the VA Medical Center and under the medical directorship of Dr. Bruce Nolan.
The NPF USleep Center gradually expanded to include a four-bed sleep laboratory in 2004 and then in 2008 was expanded to a seven-bed sleep center located on the 2nd floor of the National Parkinson's Foundation Building on the medical campus of the University of Miami Medical Center. Recently further expansion of the UHealth Sleep Program included a two-bed center located at the Hotel Indigo in Kendall, soon to be a four-bed Kendall site, Both locations see patients seven (7) nights a week, including some holidays. The UHealth Sleep Program has recruited various sleep specialists from a variety of medical disciplines and have expanded our sleep consultation visit options and research operations throughout the medical center.
